Earrings of gold, silver, diamonds, rubies, and rock crystal, featuring a tulip motif engraved within the crystal using the reverse intaglio technique, completed with a mosaic of garnet and yellow diamonds.
Tulips from Istanbul were engraved onto rock crystal using our atelier’s signature reverse intaglio technique. In 18th-century Ottoman culture, the tulip stands for peace and refinement, pointing to a period of renewal shaped through interaction with the West. Later known as the Tulip Era, this time reflects Istanbul’s sense of aesthetics, taste, and desire for innovation. This perspective is what now becomes visible at the centre of the design.
