At the centre of the ring lies an emerald engraved with a dove figure using our atelier’s signature reverse intaglio technique. This method carries a high risk of breakage even on more stable stones and is especially demanding when applied to emerald due to its natural fragility. Carving into an emerald is not only technically complex but also irreversible in terms of the stone’s value, making it an exceptionally delicate process. The dove, engraved within the emerald, stands as a symbol of peace and messages borne on hope. In ancient texts it returns from the flood carrying an olive branch, not only a sign of purity but also a quiet promise of news or inner calm.
