Serpent head formed ring of gold, silver, and a diverse array of diamond cuts.
Almost since the dawn of civilization itself, the serpent has represented a being that exudes light, healing and wisdom. Its growth as it sheds its skin has made it a symbol of renewal and rebirth in almost all mythology and creation myths. Its venom, which can be frightening, also contains healing properties. That is why it's no coincidence that the caduceus has become a symbol of medicine, with two serpents winding around the staff of Hermes. Like the inspiration for Sevan Bıçakçı’s work: Here, it represents the legendary Ouroboros, the serpent who regenerates forever by swallowing its own tail. The finger that goes through it becomes the body and the tail it's trying to swallow.
