Neolithic people saw the egg as a symbol that represented the primary source of creation. Every living thing comes into being through the bursting of a cosmic egg. Therefore, they believed that the egg radiated health, abundance, luck and protected them from all kinds of evil and disasters. Although belief systems have changed over the past thousands of years, the symbolism of the egg as a talisman has remained the same. The egg is a source of birth, life, resurrection, new beginnings, continuity, growth and abundance even today.
